UNNATURAL BEINGS IN THE SNAKE ISLE
by Liv Greene

Void of light and gooiness,
sunspots join the worry lines

Things stopped mingling below
My tight skin, as the
pine needles sticking out of soft hair excluded eligibility

Does this work, standing here in my tall lime-green socks?
Missed, Natural, naked people.

Parted layers of coconut strings and bloodshot eyes to glance toward
The yellow pot lighter wet on the bathroom floor.

Wintergreen gum and cold hazelnut coffee on the shelf
When combined, make their breath peppermint.
