from the author: “This book is a dialogue between my mother and I, 20 years and 5,000 miles between us. At the time of writing it, I was extensively collecting photographs, yet few of them made it into the original printed version of the book. I use this process of acquiring found images as a tool for illustrating my own family’s history, considering what separates our ancestors from strangers.”














Anna Archibald (b. 1997) is an artist and writer from Honolulu, Hawaii. She founded pan-pan press in 2021 as a space for experimental and self-published works of poetry to be read and shared on the internet. She is currently based in Brooklyn, NY where she is bartending & working on a book of poetry.
