HIGH DESERT DIARY
by Bronwen Wickstrom
hydrogen bomb
split the atom
brings the stars
down to
the surface
of the earth
men
in white
lab coats
with clipboards
and tiny pens
taking notes on
destructive touch
fission
connect, smash
toil
island decimators
governmental game
of cards
royal flush against
two pair
but this is nevada
so no one wins
