Heart Poem
by Gabriel Lang

we share breakfast, break bread
Together
black coffee for me, strawberries for you

we’re here & it’s there
knocking at the door
Warm, sweaty expanse
table for two

seed laid bare
my heart is an oak
with your letters carved in
