It’s hard to have a grounding sense of self and feel real when you’re trying to keep up with it all.

              Trying to micromanage the world
or even catch a small glimpse
of what
                    is
                                happening
before it’s gone is a full time job.

Eye darting back and forth between pushing her cuticles back and Nana playing on her laptop. The subtitles flew by. But not faster than her eyeballs. Two round seizures... she would not miss a thing.

Zero in on one’s self ?

She sucked all the nail polish off each finger.
One. by. One.
Not sure why initially.
But eventually she grew to like the flavor and the sensation. Eventually the way it smelled--like a high pitched scream…

She's sitting on the floor and hopefully eating a good snack.
